Team G(race) is proud to once again be an official Flying Pig Marathon Charity Partner for the 2019 event. As a charity partner, we are featured on the charity partner page, and anybody registering for the race can choose to make a donation to any of the organizations. Our members who want to participate in any of the Flying Pig races, Flying Fur, 5K, 10K, Open Relay, Half Marathon, Full Marathon, 3-Way & 4-Way, will get a discount code to use to register at the lowest price through mid-April. For our part, Team G commits to raise $5,000 by May 31, 2019 for our charitable initiatives. There are several ways we can reach this goal, such as our Father/Daughter Dance, our spring membership drive, and by individual fundraising by our members.
While we do have an official membership program (free and premium levels), Team G(race) welcomes anybody and everybody to participate in our group runs, races/events, and social gatherings. Being part of our team at the Flying Pig is no exception. If you would like to run with us in Cincinnati the weekend of May 3-5:
- You do not have to be located in Troy or the Northern Miami Valley area. The team participates in many races in the Dayton area, like the ORRRC Team Series and other ORRRC events, so you would have an opportunity to run and train with other members this winter and spring.
- We do not have a minimum fundraising requirement for the participants. We encourage all of our members to participate in some way to help us achieve our mission and reach our fundraising goals. What are some of the ways to help? Volunteering at our fundraising events, setting up a fundraising page and soliciting your social networks for donations, joining the team as a premium member, joining or chairing one of our committees, and recruiting other runners to join the team are the most common ways our members contribute to our mission.
- Join our Facebook group. We have many inspiring runners who can motivate you to reach your goals.
